Libra Seafoods

Founded in 2002, Libra Seafoods manage the whole end to end process of buying, processing and re-packing seafood for suppliers to the retail food industry. They offer a fully integrated supply solution, sourcing the best sustainable product from the Far-East and South America.

Libra have market leading processes and equipment, ensuring their products are cooked, chilled and frozen to eliminate microbiological growth, delivered right-first-time to their customers.

Having experienced impressive growth and with ambitious plans for the future, Libra Seafoods moved their banking to Santander to help take the next steps in achieving their goals. The provision of an innovative trade facility will support Libra Seafoods to build a new cold store, to grow their storage capacity.

It was a major decision for us to change banks, however we feel that Santander are best placed to assist with our growth strategy. Our previous trade facility was inhibiting, whilst the facility implemented by Santander is much more flexible. Their speed of response is impressive and is exactly what we need as a fast-moving business.

The additional store will allow them to immediately increase current output for their core production and meet increased demand for their products.

Libra Seafoods has achieved rapid growth thanks to the hard work and expertise of the management team. We’re delighted to provide trade finance working capital facilities to help them achieve their growth aspirations and further expand their international supply chains. They are an ongoing success story for the North East and continue to move from strength to strength.
